What you should know about snacking!

This week we have opened up a free trial to non-members.

It’s a taster of what our online membership is like.

It’s also an opportunity for us to train the local community to get fitter and eat healthily.

If anyone is interested, we give them a quick call to see if we can help them.

And the one re-occurring discussion that keeps coming up – Snacking.

“I can’t stop opening the cupboard”

“I’m sat bored and endlessly snacking”

I would say that snacking is people’s biggest downfall when trying to lose weight.

If, through lockdown, you have found that you are snacking more.

Give yourself a little test and irradiate or reduce snacking.

Do it for 7 days, and see at the end of the week, how many pounds and inches you’ve lost.

We aren’t moving as much so we don’t need the extra calories.

If you are eating 3 meals a day of lean protein and vegetables…there is no need for extra calories.

This is why so many people are noticing that weight is creeping up more so than normal.

If the weight is rising fast – give all snacks and junk food away or bin it.

If weight is plateauing and results have come to a halt.

Get the little snacks you do like and bag them up into small portions or containers.

If you track calories about 100-200kcals worth, if you don’t track calories a handful.

This has to last the day.

Opening up lots of little bags and containers has the effect of slowing you down, and could possible stop the binge eat.

With the weekend coming up, it’s the perfect time to test this out.
