As the gyms swing open their doors again next week.
Imagine yourself walking in full of enthusiasm and vigour.
Ready to get in the best shape possible.
Ditching the lockdown pounds.
We are about to see something special.
A lot of results.
As long as you are following the right plan.
If you’re at THQ we have you covered.
Your first 2-3 months are going to be SO productive.
It’s like we are all starting again as a newbie.
Getting the “newbie gainz” will be the mantra.
But this time, you won’t be on your own.
We are all starting afresh again as one.
Motivation levels are high.
People will be getting healthier, leaner, fitter and stronger all together.
The support network around you will be the most encouraging it’s ever been.
Your motivation levels are going to be the best they’ve been in ages.
But this has a shelf life.
Don’t fall into the trap of motivation always being the main driving factor.
Motivation gets us started.
But maintaining good habits is what makes results stick.
Take it back to basics next week.
Usually here I would say train hard.
But unfortunately, that has to be reigned in a little.
You won’t be able to go as hard and as heavy as you did pre-lockdown.
But that’s a great thing.
We can lighten the weights and get the FORM sorted.
Knees hurt on leg extensions? – lower the weight and contract the thigh/quad from top to bottom.
Back hurts on deadlifts? – lower the weight and get the mind to muscle connection on the hamstrings and glutes.
Elbows hurt when pressing? – lower the weight and correct your form.
You will soon see how fast you can progress if you have the right form.
Contracting and stretching the muscle through its full range is KEY.
Rather than flinging around the heaviest weight possible.
Control the weight and go through the full range of movements at all time.
You will be astonished what it does to your body shape;
- You will drop way more body fat because you increase focus and intensity
- You will shape the body as the muscle is being worked correctly
- You will be fitter and stronger as you are challenge the body in a more efficient way
This newbie phase may be the best thing to ever happen to you!
