Doesn’t it all feel like a game at the moment.
Almost as if we are dreaming.
As a business owner with great members & staff to look after.
I feel like I’m having to pre-empt every decision that the government is going to make.
Which inevitably I’m going to fail at some point.
But rather than worry and stress on what can go wrong….
…. I focus on “the how” and “the what” we control as a group of gyms.
I could worry about the next restrictions, councils contacting me, the virus itself.
But that won’t achieve anything and, in my mind, I put it in the 1% bracket.
Focusing on getting members results, keeping people fit, healthy & active, and ensuring the staff keep enjoying their careers at THQ.
This is the 99% that will pull us through till all this blows over.
This logic operates the same way when trying to lose body fat.
Worrying about doing fasting, keto, taking a fat burning supplement, searching for “the best ab exercise”, diets that eradicate certain food groups…
That all falls into the 1%
The actions that yield the biggest affect are what you can control:
- Staying in a caloric deficit by following the THQ meal planner or tracking calories.
- Resistance train 3-4 times a week.
- Eat enough protein
- Sleep 7-9 hours a night
- Drink 2-3 litres of water
Not only does this solve our fat loss worries.
I’m certain it will help ease most other life’s crappy issues!
