Not only are these emails a source of tips, tricks, advice, motivation…
…they are now a reminder!
A reminder that you need to put the clocks back on Saturday evening.
The good news is an extra 1 hour’s sleep.
Bad news its dark all the bloody time!
As a young adult I often felt sapped of energy and felt down during the winter months.
It usually kicked in when the clocks went back.
I never quite understood why and if it was just me.
But then Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) became a widely known condition.
So, I researched into it and realised it was the sun that we are getting the majority of our energy from.
But living in the northern hemisphere, in the dark winter months we don’t get enough.
And our vitamin D levels start to plummet.
Which can lead to depression, low moods, no energy etc.
It’s no coincidence that the UK and Scandinavian countries have the highest depression and suicide rates.
But enough research and studies have been composed now to help us.
Taking a strong Vitamin D3 daily does help ease symptoms.
Aiming for 4000-5000IU’s each day
For such a cheap supplement it seems daft not to give it a go.
If you’re unsure of which to buy, head over to our new health section that has natural supplement remedies to all sorts of ailments.
If you take Vitamin D3 daily, alongside:
- Training in the gym 3-4 times a week
- Getting sunlight (even behind clouds) on the skin in the morning for 15-20 mins
- Fish Oils (Omega 3’s)
- A diet high in protein, fish and vegetables
- Minimising alcohol intake
You will see a great improvement on mood & energy this winter.
Give it a go and let me know the difference.
