“Should I try this extreme fat burner”
“I’m thinking about doing keto and fasting”
“I’m just going to drop carbs and do these cleansing herbal teas”
Just a few examples from people seeking advice (or validation) from myself when trying to look and feel better.
If it was that easy as to take a pill, shake or tea then everyone would look & feel amazing.
This isn’t bashing them, as who doesn’t want to feel and look great?
It’s great to see their enthusiasm to make a change, but they’ve been misled by a load of marketing BS.
A big factor is that most don’t give it enough time or consistency to see results.
Years of eating crap and not getting in the gym….is going to take more than a couple of weeks to undo.
And I understand people wanting to see and feel some progression in the short term.
So, I thought on today’s blog, I would give 4 tasks that you could implement if you aren’t seeing results at the moment.
Now, the same principle of giving it enough time and consistency still applies.
But if you religiously stick with these tasks every week, you will start to look and feel better quite soon.
Focus more time & energy on ways on how to complete these tasks more often & better.
Instead of wasting time and energy on factors that just won’t make the difference e.g. which fat burner works best, how many hours are best for fasting etc
Ok I hear you…what are the tasks then…??
There are two nutritional & two physical.
And they really pack a punch when all done together – all the time;
- Every time you eat, focus on making it high protein
- No snacking, focus on getting 3 solid high protein meals
- Walk! Aim for about 30 minutes a day or tracking steps about 8-10k
- Strength training 3-4 times a week, to hold onto muscle, get fitter & stronger.
There isn’t a lot new there for most of you reading this.
Yet, seeing it in black and white and in some order re-emphasises the importance of these bang for your buck tasks.
Particularly in a very busy and noisy scene where there are so many alternatives.
It’s your call to listen to me, or try the next latest fad.
But I’ve tried them all for you.
Going low protein
They all had little to no effect.
But my 4 tasks I highly recommend to feel and look amazing work like nothing else.
Don’t overcomplicate it all.
Honestly, it’s that simple.
Just do the 4 simple tasks.
Do them every day for at least 6-8 weeks.
Then look and feel the best you have in ages!
