Rinse, Wash & Repeat

Is actually a saying that I studied at university.

It was used in my business lecture, as an example of how a company can make you use more of a product.

The customer was told it was for optimal results.

This shampoo company added three simple words to their bottles, which doubled their sales overnight.

And now you see it on every shampoo bottle.

Is it necessary to wash your hair twice?

I’m not convinced, but the phrase is more important to me.

I believe it’s far more applicable to the health and fitness industry.

Especially when trying to get in shape.

The Rinse, Wash & Repeat method should be thought of when trying to do the correct tasks.

Particularly – training, nutrition and recovery tasks.

Build a better body shape with resistance training

At least three times a week with a view to get stronger and fitter each training session.

Nourish the body with good quality food

Eating lean proteins, vegetables and good natural carbs. A simple pattern of 3 meals a day and one snack a day should be installed.

Get good quality sleep

Aiming for 7-9 hours of decent sleep each evening. This stops the tiredness the next day, which can stop the overeating for energy. Plus, a good night’s sleep repairs the body ready for its next intense training session.

Hydrate the body well

Drinking 2-3 litres of good quality mineral water a day. Keeps you satiated AND less likely to overeat. Whilst energising the body to feel full of beans!

A nice little reminder every time you wash your hair (or think about washing your hair for those lacking 😉)

Will be to check “Am I doing the below enough”…

Build a better body shape with resistance training

Nourish the body with good quality food

Get good quality sleep

Hydrate the body well

Rinse, Wash & Repeat

Rather than wasting time with two washes of the hair.

I would highly urge you to spend that extra time and effort, to go through my cycle quite a few times for optimal results.
