There is another line that we could add to this when thinking about your health, fitness and body shape.
Your fitness is a lagging measure of your gym habits.
We all want it now, but the results we see are from the work we did (or didn’t do) weeks and months ago.
That could sound negative but it really keeps me motivated and excited.
The exact actions and choices that I make today, I will see the fruits of in a few week’s time.
And this only gets better.
Good choices compound over time and multiply their effects.
I invest in the stock markets and see this same affect applying.
I buy and leave them.
Making good choices.
And they compound to go up in value.
But, like with everything, there is a bad side.
Bad choices also compound over time as well.
If I don’t invest in the market or make silly choices, I will probably lose money.
Same with your body shape, health and fitness.
Too many big weekends, not getting in the gym enough, not sticking to 3 meals a day full of protein and veg, not drinking enough water – all compound the wrong way.
And in a few week’s time, you will see the consequences.
But again, let this excite you.
Knowing that if you get back in the gym this week, eat – sleep – hydrate well….
…you will be getting your dividend in a few weeks time.
