Do you have enough of this?

As part of people’s journey at THQ, they go through a 12 week shoot.

This is after their initial 6-week meltdown, which ensures that they are doing all the basics correctly.

The shoot is a detailed, disciplined and structured plan.

That is designed to get them in the leanest shape possible in 12 weeks.

Because it’s a huge project transforming somebodies body shape, we hold a start-up meeting.

In this meeting we explain how it all works and what’s going to happen.

We used to get people coming along out of interest.

To see if there is some juicy bit of information that will finally help them get in shape.

People don’t ask anymore as we make it very clear from the onset.

Yet they used to expect a one simple action that would solve on their body shape problems.

Like a secret diet.

A fat burning supplement.

Undisclosed training plans.

And when we told them there isn’t one, we could see the disappointment on their faces.

However, we do then cheer them up & reveal one little golden nugget.

CONSISTENCY.

James clear, who some of you already know I really rate for mindset, explains why consistency for results way better than I could.

“Most people need consistency more than they need intensity.

Intensity:

-run a marathon
-write a book in 30 days
-silent meditation retreat

Consistency:

-don’t miss a workout for 2 years
-write every week
-daily silence

Intensity makes a good story. Consistency makes progress.”

This is what people who are in great shape all have in common.

They aren’t the best trainers in the gym.

They aren’t the best chefs in the kitchen.

They may not even be that interest in getting in shape.

They just do the basics on a consistent basis rather than just for a week or so.

Much better to be doing everything correct 80-90% of the time for many months.

Then do everything 100% intensely and perfectly for a few days.

I’ve always said “you don’t have to be perfect – to get in great shape

What I now need to do to make this statement more effective is add on…

You just need to be more consistent.
