Summer may feel like a long way off yet.
It’s been another long, dark, cold & wet winter.
And these funnily named storms just keep on coming.
So, it’s totally understandable that you don’t want to go out in it.
Easier to stay in and sit on the sofa with a brew.
But that leads to a problem.
It kind of tanks your energy.
You start to feel a little bit more tired than normal.
Which means you want to do even less.
And food choices also start to get a bit sketchy!
The only way to stop this and get more energy is to…
Get in the gym
Or complete your home workout if that’s where you do your training.
Not quite the exciting hack you wanted but it works so well.
Especially if you can strength train.
Not only is a resistance session good for you physically and mentally.
It will also help you sleep a bit better at night.
Which bumps up energy levels for tomorrow.
And before you know it…your back in the gym again instead of cooping up inside.
Spring and summer are just around the corner.
And the people who will be in great shape are in the gym today.
If that doesn’t fire a little motivation in you then I don’t know what will.
Have a look at your diary this week.
Reserve 2-3 times that you can get in a tough resistance/strength session.
In between these sessions…walk more!
Park that bit further away from the front door at your work place.
Walk to the shop to pick up a pint of milk.
Take the stairs when you get a choice of using the lift or not.
If you can do 10 thousand steps a day & 2-3 strength session this week.
You’ll see a huge improvement to your energy levels.
AND you’ll also notice that the body is starting to look that bit more “summer ready”.
Get your “gym on” this week!
