Sick of chicken?

Monday = Chicken, broccoli and rice
Tuesday = Chicken Stir fry
Wednesday = Chicken thighs and potatoes

You get my point.

Chicken is people’s go-to, as they know it’s high in protein, low in fat & calories.

And it’s one of my favourite protein options too.

Our diets should be including plenty of protein.

Up to 40% of your daily food consumption should come from protein if you want to find getting in shape easy.

If you don’t know already, increasing protein intake WILL make you lose body fat.

Because protein is more thermogenic than carbohydrates & fats.

About 20-35% of the calories consumed from protein go back to digesting it!

You know the feeling; you can only eat so much protein before feeling full.

Never felt like this before?

Try a Brazilian or South American restaurant where it’s all you can eat meat (sorry vegetarians & vegans – there is always the salad bar)

Want to burn body fat, always be satiated and build muscle to get stronger?

Eat more protein.

I’ve got you hooked and now you are planning your diet again.

Ok Monday ill have chicken….

Listen, if it’s just chicken you have, it’s not a problem.

There is a bit of research to say that you should rotate your protein sources to stop intolerances and better amino acids etc.

But I wouldn’t look too much into that.

But eating the same protein each day and at each meal will get a bit boring.

This means you are much more likely to come off your meal plan.

Instead, mix up your low fat, high protein options.

Include a few of the below for some extra variety to your diet.

  • Tuna
  • Heck Sausages
  • Turkey
  • Cottage Cheese
  • Greek Yoghurt
  • Whey Powder
  • Shrimp/prawns
  • Egg Whites

Vegans looking at more Tofu, Tempeh, Edamame, lentils and beans.

Mix those meals up and you are much less likely to cheat on your diet because there is a wide selection.

Next time you are doing that food shop, pop a few other options mentioned above, alongside your chicken.

Watch yourself stick to the healthy eating plan with a lot more ease.

Still suck at making meals?
