Success Story : Joanne Hine

Jo lost a Stone AND 12 inches in just 12 weeks!

When I talk to women who haven’t weight & strength trained before, what crops up time and time again is –

  • They have tried every diet under the sun, they start well but then they seem to just stop working or they give up on them as it gets too restrictive.
  • They do the latest fitness classes like spin, Zumba, hot yoga and even though they commit to doing them 2-3 times a week and workout very hard – it makes no difference to their body shape or the scales.
  • They’ve also tried the body wraps, detox teas, weight loss shakes, dieting clubs but it always ends in poor or no results.

And this is normal.

Believe me. We have had many female members who have been there, experienced this, yet achieved results so we understand how you are feeling now. But just know this –

It is NOT your fault.

 How do I know?

Because it’s not something you’re doing … it’s the fault of all the terrible advice out there. Advice like – “you need to cut carbs” “do more cardio” “eat less” for weight loss.

But here’s the thing. It doesn’t have to be like this.

What if I told you it was possible to train just 3 times a week for 45 minutes, whilst still including your favourite foods YET still see results!

Too good to be true?….our results prove that its genuine!

This is all possible, IF you follow the THQ body transformation journey, starting with the 6 week meltdown which develops good habits and introduces you into strength training. Then the 12 week shoot, which is an advance version of the 6 week meltdown but turbo charges results.

Jo had all of the above feelings & frustrations – she got to 50 and decided it was time for a change, read about her transformation in her own words.

Why did you first start at THQ?

I turned 50 last year and felt I needed to face a new decade with greater strength and better health. To be honest, life is busy but I knew I needed to take some positive action.

What made you start the 12 week shoot?

I’ve dieted most of my adult life, to no avail and while I’ve exercised, I’ve never really had the time or inclination to commit to something structured and organised. I was sick of feeling flabby and unfit, and the 12-week shoot gave me a really organised and ordered approach. One of my group asked Kris how he’d achieved such an amazing body transformation and he just answered simply ‘I did what they told me’ – and that simplicity struck a chord with me. It’s not rocket science – you know what you’re talking about, so I just thought, yep I’ll do what I’m told and see how it goes.    To be honest, I didn’t think I’d make it past the six week mark, but it was much easier than I thought – it’s just a state of mind – and I never thought I’d have the confidence to do the shoot at the end, but it was great to embrace my success and just celebrate the journey so far.

Have you achieved your body shape goal? What exactly have you achieved?

Not yet – I’m on my way and really proud of what I’ve achieved, but it’s a life-change for me, not a 12-week gig. I now understand that it is possible to change your mindset and change the way you feel about your body and strength.

How do you feel about your achievement?

I think it’s important to take stock and recognise your achievements – so yep, I do feel proud. What’s surprised me most though, is that other people notice and comment on how much better I look.  I just feel better and more confident, which is what it’s about for me, but compliments are always nice too.

What have you most enjoyed about at THQ?

I’ve enjoyed just being part of a group of people who are like-minded and equally committed. We’ve supported one another and made new friends. There’s no pressure, just the encouragement to keep pushing yourself – I think that’s one of the reasons it works; it’s about taking responsibility for yourself and being committed.

What would you say to anyone thinking about starting at THQ?

To anyone thinking of joining, I’d say be prepared to work hard and commit some time to your training, it’s not meant to be easy. You get all the support you could possibly want, but at the end of the day you get out what you put in – and the rewards for hard work are so worth it.

After her 12 week shoot – Jo went onto a leaner legs program and lost a further ½ stone and a few more inches! Members are always improving at THQ and never spinning their wheels.
