Helen drops 3 stone and 2 dress sizes

Helen was approaching her 50th birthday and felt out of shape, unfit and not very positive about her current situation.

She told herself that it was just part and parcel of settling down and getting older.

That it’s just the teenagers and 20 year olds that see all the results.

Helen also told herself that it wasn’t possible to get in shape because she had a desk job that required to travel, meaning she wouldn’t have the time to get in shape.

Fortunately, her husband had been training at THQ and looked younger, slimmer, fitter and healthier – this made Helen act and she enquired at THQ Buxton.

She started on the 6 week meltdown to test if it would work for her and her busy work lifestyle.

After just a few short weeks, she was losing inches & pounds, was feeling stronger & fitter, and felt so much more positive.

She couldn’t believe that training with weights just 3 times a week would achieve such fast and noticeable results.

Helen wanted to keep pushing further, she started the next available 12 week shoot. To intensify results, she also hired a THQ trainer to train her legs once a week alongside her 3 x 45 minutes transformation sessions.

She lost an incredible 3 stone, 14” off her waist, dropped 2 dress sizes and felt fabulous for her 50th birthday.

Gaining weight and becoming out of shape is not a forgone conclusion as you get older – you can do something about it.

Let Helen’s own words inspire you to believe it’s not too late….

Why did you first start at THQ?

I started THQ at the end of March this year for two reasons – I wanted something to focus on after work to enable me to switch off and unwind rather than coming home switching my laptop back on and working till late and also after seeing the results David has had on his journey with THQ I can now understand exactly what he went through doing his journey on his own at home while at THQ – David had been talking to me for a while to be more active like i used to be ( after we had got married I got promoted as a result I spend  a lot of time in my car )so was less active during the day – so I decided to emailed Carl after following THQ on the Facebook Page and arranged to Go to a 6 week meeting without telling David initially. 

What made you start the 12 week shoot?

It seemed pretty natural for me to move onto the 12 week shoot – I’d already completed the 6 week meltdown programme and a Leaner legs programme with Danielle which was amazing yet a little daunting to start with -but  I wanted the best results and was so determined to gain them so when I started the  12 week shoot I also did my 2nd leg programme which was much more challenging than the first one – but great too! 

What have you achieve and how do you feel about it?

I have lost over 3 stone and am now lighter than when I got married !! I’ve lost 31.5” In total 14 of these are on my waist so for now I’m much 

Happier – I’m 50 in February and wanted to do this for a lifestyle change and to lengthen my life and not to be Fat at 50!! There’re still some areas that need improvement but I’ve dropped 2 dress sizes already so happy with that.

How do you feel about your achievement?

Pretty bloody awesome to be honest – but there’s some work now to go I’d like to tone some areas up and work on my arms and back -and my nickname from David has stuck at ‘Tubbs’ haha

What have you most enjoyed about at THQ?

THQ is hard to describe – it’s just like a family – the trainers are awesome, they will coach, support, laugh with you, council you if you are struggling, push and motivate when needed – I have never been anywhere like it before – everyone who comes is positive and much happier for been there, the Facebook groups are amazing.  I never really liked going to a gym but at THQ the support is great even it’s a text or an email 

What would you say to anyone thinking about starting at THQ?

Do it – I kept saying for ages, I don’t have time to train as I’m out early in a morning and back late but if you really want to do it you will fit it in, I now do it – do it for you no one else – it’s a lifestyle change and one now That I can’t think I’d want to back to our old lifestyle 

I’ll continue to smash it – and together we’ll do it and keep this journey going together
