Diane turned back the clock and is the healthiest, fittest and leanest she has been in years
Diane hadn’t really been a “gym goer” before starting at THQ.
She used to do step aerobics and Pilates which she did enjoy.
Yet for all the effort put in, there wasn’t much reward for her body shape.
This made Diane think “what’s the point” and started to make up as many excuses not to do any physical activity.
Until she told herself enough was enough, she wanted to live a healthier and happier life, and not be suffering for the rest of her life.
“As a lady of a certain age, I can’t think of anything worse than slipping into my twilight years with a shuffle, clutching a Mon to Fri pill box. I want to keep those muscles strong and build good bone health and dive straight into a bright and healthy, not twilight future!”
Diane knew that a little more help was needed if she was to succeed.
She didn’t want to be doing random exercises session in a freezing barn flipping tyres, she wanted a service that got results!
Fortunately, Diane was pointed in the direction of THQ by her sister who had seen our results on Facebook.
She popped in a request to find out more and had a look around.
As she walked into THQ, she felt a little apprehension, would it be full of big blokes lifting weights, young fit people who knew what they were doing?
She found the total opposite, she bumped into 3 similar looking ladies who looked like they were having a great time and encouraged her to go for it as they “love it”. She realised it didn’t matter what age, shape or ability you were at – everyone was working together to become fit & healthy as a common goal.
This gave Diane the confidence to take the plunge and join THQ, she has never looked back.
She started on the 6 week meltdown, we worked on the basics of training, nutrition and recovery.
Diane was starting to see results far faster than anything she had tried before and she was feeling amazing.
She loved this feeling so much she stayed on to keep improving. Jumping on a 12 week shoot in 2019, which really progressed Diane a lot further with her body shape, strength & fitness. The 12 week shoot is a more advanced version of the 6 week meltdown.
The accountability and focus of the 12 week shoot was exactly what Diane was looking for, so she started another shoot in January 2021.
“I’ve been a member for 2 years now and this has been my second shoot. I was pleased with my first result but felt it would definitely take another, to really get to where I wanted to be.
It also keeps me focused and what better way to survive the Covid lockdowns!”
This shoot was a little different due to lockdowns, as all her training was adapted to work from home but she still followed the nutrition strategies recommended by THQ.
She continued progressing and challenging herself to be in the best shape possible. Her confidence, energy levels and general well-being are the greatest they’ve ever been, and she now has the knowledge on training and nutrition as how to maintain this new & improved Diane.
Diane feels like she has turned back the clock to a younger, slimmer & fitter self.
But she knows she can still have a treat….
“I now have such a better understanding of nutrition and exercise. I’m no saint though and I do enjoy a treat, coffee and walnut cake, I’ll say no more! The difference now is, I know how to work it into my nutrition and exercise plan.”
Have this empowering feeling of that you don’t have to be perfect to get in great shape and be happy, is the number one reason THQ members maintain their shape. They are taught and educated about the process so that they can use the knowledge to suit their likes, tastes, needs & lifestyles.
We ask people at the end of the shoot, what are the 3 biggest lessons learnt during the process, here are Diane’s;
Mindset – staving off negativity and keeping focussed.
Accountability – doing the classes, regardless of what ‘comes up’
Progress – getting leaner, healthier and stronger.
A transformation at THQ is more that just dieting and training hard, it’s improving the body and mind as a whole. Diane certainly became a more confident, positive and energetic person over the last 2 years and we couldn’t be any more proud of her.
But of course, the pound & inch loss count as well, as she certainly has changed her body shape…
