Joe tells his story of how he lost 3 stone & why he wanted to get in shape for a new family arrival
Joe was inspired to take action and get in shape for a new baby that was on the way.
He knew he had to lead by example so being a fit, strong & a lean dad would be the perfect way for his new child to see him.
He has gone from having the classic unfit dad bod to a person who has changed his life and is a now a younger looking, healthier and leaner Joe.
In under 6 months Joe lost 3 stone to reveal a transformed man and now first time dad.
But where did it all start……?
Why did you first start at THQ?
“I knew something had to change, a baby on the way and I wanted to be the healthiest I could be, I would of struggled to put the time and dedication required once she arrived.”
What made you start the 12 week shoot?
“I saw the results from the 6 week melt down and I knew it could only get better, plus I was excited to have the shoot at the end of it, I kind of wanted to become a THQ poster boy, sounds daft but I wanted to become one of the transformations people remember, vain I know but I don’t care.”
Have you achieved your body shape goal? What exactly have you achieved?
“Yes, absolutely and more, my body is at its leanest it’s ever been, my abs and the ‘v’ leading up to the abs are visible which I didn’t expect, my legs have become more defined and my back in general has become stronger, no more tweaks niggles.”
How do you feel about your achievement?
“Super proud, because it’s a personal goal where no one else can do it for you, it has to be you and you alone, getting up early to make the classes to saying no to temptations day in day out builds your confidence and increases your mental strength of staying focused and achieving what I set out to do.”
What have you most enjoyed about at THQ?
“I love the training, turning up, knuckling down, super focused, great way to start the day, you forget about the stresses of life outside the gym for 45 minutes, it’s a release. I also enjoy the strength room, a place where you can dedicate your time to certain body parts, chuck the tunes on and get stuck in. The final bit which I enjoy is the diet, learning how to control what you eat and getting to learn about what your body likes and dislikes and coping when you start to push it to its limits, its weirdly exciting. I love everything about THQ, its brill!”
