From 15st 2 to 11st 8, he stopped snoring and joined a triathlon club!
Carl never imagined he’d see himself in a photo like the one on the right of his before and after.
For years, it was the same pattern.
Weight creeping up.
Clothes getting tighter.
Feeling sluggish and flat, with no real clue what his body actually needed.
He admits…
“I was overweight and getting bigger year on year. Lack of fitness. Low energy. No understanding of what I was putting inside my body, fuel-wise.”
By the time he walked into Transformation HQ, Carl wasn’t just carrying extra weight, he was carrying doubt.
Not about us, but about himself.
“My main worry was could I stay the course for longer than just six weeks without giving up.”
That’s the voice of a man who’s tried before.
Gym memberships.
Diets.
Maybe even a personal trainer or help from friends.
But nothing stuck.
Because none of those options gave him the one thing he needed most … real structure, real people, and real accountability.
That all changed with the 6-Week Meltdown.
Carl started with three small-group sessions a week, each one led by a trainer who genuinely cared if he showed up, and more importantly, how he showed up.
“The trainers take personal interest in what you’re trying to do, and when you need encouragement… and sometimes letting you know you just need to get on with it.”
Then there were the people sweating next to him.
No influencers, no egos, just regular people putting in the work.
“Seeing them struggle as well as succeed, and also failing with them from time to time put me at ease more than anything.”
After his first six weeks, Carl didn’t just see change, he felt it.
So he stepped into the 12-Week Shoot, which is included in monthly rolling membership after the 6 weeks.
No long-term tie-in, just month-by-month momentum.
Essentially, it’s a more advanced phase designed to get him in photo-ready shape, building strength, confidence, and sharper discipline around food and training.
From that point on, life didn’t just improve.
It transformed.
“I’ve got a totally different outlook on life. Lifted confidence to do things I didn’t think would be possible. To like photos of you again and not feel embarrassed. Positive about my body for the first time in over 20 years.”




The numbers speak for themselves.
“I lost 43 pounds by the end of my second shoot. Started Transformation HQ at 15 stone 2 and ended this shoot at 11 stone 8.”
But it’s what happened beyond the scales that hits hardest.
“I stopped snoring. Pins and needles that I would regularly get at night disappeared. I understand what’s going into my body and more importantly, what effect it will have.”
The first big milestone?
His wedding day.
“I looked in fantastic shape for my wedding day just after my first shoot — the main reason I joined Transformation HQ.
The positive comments that people make are amazing.”
Carl’s not just fitter, he’s become a leader in his own family.
“My family, children and wife have all started a process of healthy eating and regular gym attendance. I’ve inspired others to improve their situation.”
Then came the wild twist most wouldn’t expect.
“On a personal level I did my first 10K run in February 2025, and have since joined Chesterfield Triathlon Club — competing in my first triathlon in the summer of 2025. I now run, swim and bike every day on top of a minimum of 3 sessions at Transformation HQ. I could go on and on.”
This from a bloke who once doubted he’d last six weeks.

“Track your food intake daily. Have a target. Eat more whole foods — keep it simple. Limit alcohol and fast food. Be consistent in your training. Make yourself accountable to your trainers and fellow members. It’s the days you don’t feel like giving your all that are most important. Just turn up and finish the class — even if it’s not the best one, it’s important to do the motions. You always feel better at the end of the session for turning up.”
And for anyone hovering over the idea of starting?
“Just give it an honest go. All you have to do is walk in that door and put some faith into the HQ team. They will give you the information and encouragement you need. There is nothing to be afraid of. We are of all ages, shapes, weights and strengths. Nobody will judge you — we are all on the same journey with you.”
Carl changed his life in just over a year.
