Tomorrow is a big day at Transformation HQ—shoot day.
If you’ve been part of our community, you know this day is a huge milestone for members.
But here’s the thing: not everyone who signs up for the shoot follows through.
And you know what?
That’s perfectly okay.
I’ve seen it all, from the enthusiastic starters to the ones who crush it all the way to the finish line.
But there’s one thing I’ve noticed repeatedly.
Both in myself and those who absolutely smash their body shape goals: they all share one thing in common.
Our most successful members have figured out a secret that, ironically, isn’t much of a secret at all.
They don’t get in their own way.
Sounds simple?
But simplicity is the very thing that trips most people up.
The members who consistently succeed are those who embrace simplicity.
We coach them, tell them what to do, and they do it.
And—surprise, surprise—it works.
They don’t second-guess the process, overthink every tiny detail, or question whether they need to tweak something that has already been proven successful.
They understand that the path to success is straightforward if they can resist the urge to overcomplicate it.
On the flip side, those who struggle often turn simplicity into complexity.
They take simple instructions and create a mental maze out of them.
Their minds produce so much nervous energy that they can’t possibly believe that success can come from doing so little.
They’ll continue running in circles until they are punch-drunk.
It’s like this: 80% of the effort they’re putting in is simply counterproductive.
It’s like swimming against the current when all they need to do is float.
It is so easy to get caught up in trying to control every aspect of the process, you can lose sight of that sometimes, the best thing you can do is just follow the plan.
It’s a tough cycle to break.
Training and working out is actually the easy part.
You show up three or four times a week, put in 45 minutes, and you’re done.
But what about the other 164 hours in the week?
That’s where the real difference is made.
During those hours, your eating habits, sleep, stress, and mindset come into play.
And it’s in those 164 hours where simplicity becomes even more critical.
The plan works if you stick to it—consistently.
But if you are a person who doesn’t see results after a week or two and always starts getting frustrated.
Believing it’s something else that is holding you back.
Whether it’s the trainer, the diet, or even your family at fault—it’s time to stop and reflect.
The truth is, your plan is not failing you; overthinking, impatience, and the need for constant change are getting in your way.
I get it—waiting for results can be frustrating.
You’re putting in the work and want to see that it’s paying off.
But real, lasting change doesn’t happen overnight.
It’s a process, and that process requires patience and consistency.
Simplicity is the key to success, I suppose not just in fitness but in life.
It’s about trusting the process, sticking to the plan, and not letting your mind complicate what should be straightforward.
Those who succeed are the ones who understand this.
They don’t just train hard; they live simply.
They focus on what matters, tune out the noise, and keep things in perspective.
There’s a powerful lesson in this for all of us.
The world is full of distractions and noise, all trying to pull us in different directions (especially with diet).
But those who achieve their goals are the ones who can cut through the chaos and focus on what’s important.
They don’t get caught up in the details or let their minds create unnecessary obstacles.
They stick to the plan, give it time, and trust that the results will come.
So, as shoot day approaches, remember this: the power of simplicity will carry you through, not just on shoot day but every day after that.
Even if you aren’t doing a 12-week shoot.
Maybe you are just starting your health, fitness, and body shape journey.
Or even just in a bit of a rut at the moment,
Don’t get in your own way.
Follow the plan, keep it simple, and trust you’re on the right path.
The results will come, and when they do, you’ll know it was worth the wait.
In the end, it’s not about doing more; it’s about doing what’s necessary—and doing it consistently.
That’s the real secret to success, and it’s within reach for all of us if we can quiet the noise and keep things simple.
So here’s to your success today and every day.
Keep it simple, stay the course, and the results will follow.
Ryan
P.S.
Good luck to those doing their shoot tomorrow – you’ll smash it!
